ABOUT THE FORMULA

Spooky season 👻 is here, and I thought I’d bring you a UV glow stick that lights up the night! This glow stick formula is packed with a vibrant UV effect under black light, perfect for haunted houses, costume parties, or any ghoulish event. It’s designed for the face and body, but keep it away from the eyes and lips.

The formula uses candelilla and beeswax for a sturdy yet smooth stick base. The candelilla wax keeps the structure solid, while beeswax adds enough flexibility for a creamy application. This is my favourite wax blend in stick formulas. To give it that silky finish, I included cocoa butter for a rich, moisturising feel, perfect for long, eerie nights!

For our liquid base, I used a blend of grapeseed Oil and fractionated coconut oil. These light, quick-absorbing oils help spread the UV pigments evenly for an even, glowing effect that won’t feel greasy on the skin.

To create the spooky glow, I mixed UV-reactive mica with titanium dioxide for brightness and magnesium stearate to ensure a smooth blend. This powder combo provides a bold, even glow that’ll pop under UV light.

Key ingredients summary

•Candelilla wax – Provides structure, keeping the stick solid.

•Beeswax – Adds flexibility and smooth glide.

•Cocoa butter – Adds a soft, hydrating feel.

•Grapeseed oil – Light and non-greasy, perfect for easy blending.

•Fractionated coconut oil – Lightweight and fast-absorbing, helps distribute the glow.

•UV Mica + Titanium dioxide – These give that spooky UV glow, with titanium dioxide adding opacity.

•Magnesium stearate – Ensures a smooth, even finish for your glow.

This fluorescent stick is perfect for adding an eerie boost to your Halloween makeup. The best part? It’s subtle in daylight, but just wait until you’re under black lights—the glow will take your look to the next level! If you give it a try, share your spooky creations—I’d love to see how you light up the night!
